You might have heard of CLE, but are not sure of what it is or why it is important. It is not difficult to find the answers to everything you need to know on this subject. For a paralegal and, for that matter, anyone in the legal profession. Continuing Legal Education is indeed important! Whether or not you’re actually required to earn CLE credit on a regular basis due to such factors as it being a requirement for the job that you hold, mandatory where you reside, or based on a term of your certification, Continuing Legal Education should be considered essential for each paralegal, even when it isn’t required.

It’s a problem that’s been around since the beginning of time. I don’t care what era or generation you come from, chances are you came across a bully. It’s almost like grade schools and high schools cannot be complete without at least one. Can you recall the bully you encountered back in the day? I sure can. At the young age of 13, I had just moved to a new area, and started in a new middle school. It took only a few days before some random 14 year old punched me. And I mean he literally socked me right in the jaw, while I was minding my own business, standing in the gym after lunch. I never even saw it coming. So, how do we prevent such occurrences from taking place? Maybe with a few lectures and bullying articles while we are still very young. It certainly pays to instruct our kids early on.

As soon as I was halfway through kindergarten, I was a wreck. It was not really my fault. You see, there are two kinds of kindergarten teachers. There are kindergarten instructors who are there because they love little children, and want to make a difference in young lives. These kindergarten teachers are wonderful. Then there are the other kind – the kind who are there because they are petty tyrants who want to make kids miserable. This is the kind of kindergarten instructor that I had.

It is no secret that Harvard undergraduate admissions are difficult. Each year, the Harvard University admissions office declines to accept thousands of students with perfect academic records. You can have a 4.0 grade point average and an SAT score well above 1500. It doesn’t matter. Unless you’re a legacy student who has had family go to Harvard before, or can prove to the Harvard admission office that there is something special and uncommon about you, forget about it – you just aren’t getting it.

When I first began my teacher training, I had a pretty easy idea of what the job was going to entail. I had never even thought of such issues as teaching research before. For me, teaching seemed like a easy and straightforward affair. I had been explaining math to my younger brother for several years, and if I could help him out why couldn’t I help out a classroom full of students? What I learned in my teaching school both surprised and fascinated me. Teaching was much harder than I had thought, but it was also more rewarding for the work that I had to put into it. It wasn’t a simple matter of explaining the subject matter that I had mastered. If teaching was that simple, anyone could instruct! Instead, teaching involves the mastery of a great many strategies to help different students learn.

I know that it is important to keep your federal (or government given) personal data such as your social security number private. It has always bothered me that many student loan companies use your number as your account number. I always make sure I shred any paperwork with my number on it, but it would seem in some cases that this is out of my hands. My husband and I combined our loans, and we keep getting letters from companies offering us a superior deal on our interest rate. It bothers me that they have the ability to so easily get our student loan information, and that our social security numbers are appearing on what we consider to be junk mail.

tWorking for a student loan company is quite a racket. Think about it. The students come to you when they’re just out of high school. They are fresh-faced, idealistic, and quite naïve. They get student loans without any thought of how they will repay them. They go off to school, spend four years partying and occasionally studying, and get out into the business world. It is then when the student loans Company strikes.

Some towns are dominated by their educational and research facilities and this is the case in Princeton New Jersey. The town is best known for the prestigious Princeton University, opened in 1756. Its important research has been in the fields of robotics, plasma physics, meteorology, geophysics and entomology. Former US President, Woodrow Wilson was a University President there. The environment in the town is elegant and many people live there and commute to workplaces in New York and Philadelphia.

Growing up, I thought I was pretty bright – but who doesn’t think they’re pretty bright in America. It is sort of a trademark of our culture, isn’t it? Everyone thinks they’re special, everyone thinks they’ve certain skills that other people do not have. But like many of the especially bright people who surrounded me, I did not do very well in school. I just didn’t have the attention span for it, and my grades reflected that fact. I had always wanted to have a career in medicine, but I didn’t see how this was possible. There was just no way that I could make it through medical school.
